Jennifer Aniston has opened up about motherhood and said that it isn’t fair to “put pressure” on women.

The 45-year-old star, who has been engaged to actor fiancé Justin Theroux for two years, was speaking to Today about the barrage of questions she is “constantly” faced with.

“It is such an issue of, like, ‘Are you married yet? Are you going to have your babies yet?’It’s just constant. It’s like, I don’t know!” said Jennifer.

“I don’t have this sort of checklist of things that have to be done, and if they’re not checked, then I’ve failed some part of my feminism or my value as a woman because I haven’t birthed a child,” she said.

“I’ve birthed a lot of things and feel like I’ve mothered many things, and I don’t think it’s fair to put that pressure on people.”

Jennifer, who is perhaps best known for playing Rachel Green on hit sitcom Friends, harked back on her time on the ten-series show and how far she’d come since then.

“I feel like I’ve grown up three times,” said the California girl. “I feel like I’ve had three different periods of adolescence. I’ve had an incredible evolution. I keep seeing these little lifetimes that I lived, and they’re all so wonderful. They all served me so well… I feel very grateful to my evolution and my history. I would never exchange it for anything.”

While Jennifer and Justin, 43, have not revealed their wedding date, the couple are said to bemarrying “right by the ocean”.

According to the actress’ wedding planner Kevin Lee, the lovebirds are planning a low-key ceremony. “It will be a beach meets California modern-chic sort of thing,” he told RadarOnline, adding that the nuptials would be “out of the country“.

Justin, who proposed to Jennifer in August 2012, met his future bride when the pair worked on the comedy Wanderlust together.
