The internet message board site 4chan is threatening to leak many more photos.

On Sunday (August 31) several reports of allegedly leaked nude photos of celebrities likeJennifer Lawrence, Ariana Grande, Kate Upton and many more began to surface. The photos were said to have been acquired and leaked by the internet community of 4chan, which has been known for conducting cyber sabotage of varying levels in the past.

Jennifer Lawrence’s publicist confirmed the veracity of her nude photos to Buzzfeed.

“This is a flagrant violation of privacy,” a spokesperson for Jennifer Lawrence told Buzzfeed via email. “The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”

The photos were reportedly obtained through an iCloud leak that allowed hackers to access celebrities’phones, and they were posted on a 4chan thread in an attempt to earn bitcoins. MTV will not link to the thread itself.

There is supposedly a master list of celebrities who the user has nudes of, including people likeRihanna, Aubrey Plaza, Selena Gomez, Kate Bosworth and more. Screenshots of the supposed master list can be found here.

One of the affected celebrities, Victoria Justice, has tweeted that the alleged leaked nudes of her are fake:

Another, actress Mary Winstead tweeted about deleting her leaked nudes long ago, and chastising people for looking at photos that were meant for her and her husband only.

Many of the alleged photos are unconfirmed, and Ariana Grande’s publicist also denied that her photos were real. “The photos are completely fake,” he told Buzzfeed via email. It seems likely that some of them are fakes, as Victoria Justice asserts hers are. Others, are simply selfies or swimsuit photos.
